Godly Father Relationship: Pointing Her Identity to Her Heavenly Father

What’s your favorite Dad Joke? Dads have a knack for bringing the fun to their kids! Any Christian girl who knows a good father relationship understands how life-giving, anchoring, and FUN it can be to have a connected father in the home.  

Sitcom dads have long fallen short in modeling connected fatherhood. But the Lord’s design for a Godly father looks much like the way HE cares for us. God moves toward us when we are afraid, prideful, or stuck in our sin. Like a shepherd, God sacrifices to pursue us when we stray.  

Whether your girl has a Godly example of fatherhood in her home, or she is supported by strong fatherly relationships to fill a gap, the role of a good dad is crucial to her identity as a Child of God.
