There’s a viral video going around where a dad asks his kids to pretend to be on the phone. While most of us would make a hand gesture with a thumb to the ear and pinky finger to the mouth, parents are finding kids aren’t doing the same! Don’t believe me? Ask your girl and see what she does!

This hand gesture challenge is a silly reminder that parents and kids see the world in different ways, resulting in some seriously dissimilar understandings.

In moments of disobedience it’s easy for parents to refer to Scripture saying “children obey your parents”, but it’s important to remember that kids and parents don’t always have the same understanding of the task at hand. Before you get frustrated, get clear in your expectations and explanation to your girl!
