During Identity Re-Forming, Pray She is Rooted in Christ

The tell-tale sign in adolescent girls of low self-image is crossed arms. In a gathering, this pairs with a tendency to huddle. If you’re an adult woman, you likely remember this time in your late elementary and junior high years.

If you see it in your girl, toss her a moment of empathy—you know what she’s feeling! Suddenly your girl is acutely aware of others’ view of her. This can feel like an overnight shift from your parent perspective, but her identity-re-forming stage of the next few years won’t pass instantaneously.

Work with this season of her life by speaking and praying Scriptures like Psalm 139:1-18 and Jude 1:1b over her, rooting the truth of her identity in Christ into place for the long haul.

Psalm 139, Jude 1:1b
