Does Your Girl Feel Like She has to Have it All Figured Out?

Achievement test scores. College prep classes. Apprenticeships, scholarships, leadership teams. “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Every young girl hears this question, and, through the years, it can overwhelm her with pressure to have a world-impacting career chosen. Especially when her answer is “I don’t really know” our girl might feel ashamed of her lack of clarity.

If your girl feels the weight of impending adulthood, ease her anxieties with some affirming one-on-one time talking through her interests and goals and then open your hands, grasp hers, and go to the Father in prayer. Let the Lord’s guidance be the driving force toward her adult years. Whether she steps into a teacher’s shoes or pilots a plane, her impact and timing will fall securely in God’s capable hands.

1 Peter 5:7
