Could Your Girl be Experiencing Imposter Syndrome?

Have you ever mustered up the courage to witness to a complete stranger about Jesus … then something stopped you in your tracks? Did you suddenly feel like a total phony …. unqualified to share your testimony? If so, you experienced a phenomenon called “The Imposter Syndrome.”

Your girl may also experience The Imposter Syndrome when she is compelled to share the Good news of Jesus with others. Explain to her that second-guessing herself is not unusual and is common for most believers. Yet, God wants his girls to push through. In Mark it reads: “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.’”

Take a moment to tell your daughter your personal story of sharing the gospel with another person despite feelings of inadequacy. Your story will strengthen her to do the same.
