When it comes to child abuse, we are learning now more than ever that the previous understanding of “stranger danger” doesn’t apply in the majority of instances. In fact, 91% of kids who experience abuse do so at the hand of someone they already know. Have you led your girl to recognize the signs of abuse or being groomed?  

Often by the time abusive acts have transpired, the victim doesn’t even recognize them as wrong. From an abuser encouraging her to lie or keep secrets to forced alone time with them, your girl needs to spot these as red flags in order to immediately reach out for help.
