Does your daughter record wildly-popular videos of homemade slime or musical covers of her favorite radio hits? Thanks to social media, young people have a place to speak their mind and flex their creative muscles for the world to see.
As her parent, it’s up to you to ensure your daughter is creating appropriate content for a suitable audience. Consider a review process, similar to that of a writer and editor, before content is published for the world to see. Always keep safety top of mind—stay vigilant on who is following her account and the messages or comments she receives.
Having a platform on the internet can be an empowering and fun experience for your girl. Perhaps it can even be a way for her to minister to others! Remind her of Paul’s words to the Colossians: “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
