Christianity Still Includes Church Attendance

It’s Sunday morning, the church bells are ringing, and your girl has her head under the covers feigning illness. According to Barna findings, 36% fewer Americans attended church weekly in 2020 than in 1993. Being a practicing Christian includes church attendance, bible reading, and prayer.

As Christian parents, we should set an example for our children in all aspects of our faith. Exodus reminds us to “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” Stress the importance of worshipping with a community of believers, prayer, and time spent with God’s Word.

Set aside time as a family to keep the Sabbath, talk about Scripture, and  pray together. Planting these seeds of faith in your daily life will blossom in your girl and carry her through her own faith journey after she leaves the nest.
