A Godly Legacy is Both Caught and Taught

“Lecture all you want, but raising good kids is more caught than taught.” This approach to authentic parenting comes from a well-intentioned heart—it really does! But have you ever thought about the implications of silently living differently than you speak to your children?

In Deuteronomy 6:4-5 we see Moses offer to the Israelites The Shema, a charge to parents that includes both talking the talk and walking the walk when it comes to loving and living for God.

As you lead your girl, understand that your parenting is a byproduct of your own spiritual walk. The Lord is refining you into His Image, but you must also put it to words, so she can connect what she sees in you to God’s sanctifying work.
