Gen Z is a highly relational generation. Chances are, your daughter views the world around her through the lens of her relationships.
Here’s a reality that can be difficult for Christian parents to hear: more often than not, girls today base their opinions and beliefs off the relationships they have rather than first seeking what the Bible instructs. Whether it’s on issues of identity, gender, or something else, your daughter is likely already formulating her opinions based on her relational experiences.
If your daughter has a different viewpoint—ask her about it. During this conversation, a “listen to understand” mindset is key. Speak truth in love. Look for times in the conversation that you can share God’s Word in a way that is honest and compassionate.
