How to Keep God in Everyday Conversations with Your Daughter

Imagine this: weeks have gone by since your usual family prayer and devotion time. You’ve wanted to spiritually connect with your daughter but with limited time, it’s felt impossible. Have you been there before? We know the feeling!   

Here’s the truth, God desires for you and your girl to commune with Him in moments throughout the day—not only during scheduled devotion times. This is why 1 Thessalonians tells us to pray continually:

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
-1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, NIV
Connect with your girl spiritually by weaving God into your everyday conversations. Ask her how her thoughts, feelings, and actions at school and at home have been God-honoring. Share recent examples of how you’ve seen His goodness in her life. Like a beautiful tapestry, make God the fabric of your everyday conversations with your girl.
