Teaching Your Girl to Practice Affirming Who God Made Her to Be

Does your girl recite affirmations each day? Common affirmations include “I am” statements, like “I am capable.” These words can feel really empowering, especially when spoken aloud. And beyond just sounding good, affirmations can actually help create good in your girl’s brain.

Scientific researchers have discovered that people who practice self-affirmation feel less stressed, are better able to break bad habits, and even do better in school than those with negative self-talk. Affirmations can remind your girl who she is, what she’s capable of doing, and why she’s important.

Of course, since God knows His people and our needs, the Bible is full of affirmations—words  like “beloved”, “chosen”, “valuable”, “precious”, and “friend”. Set out on a Biblical Scavenger Hunt to discover reminders of who God made her to be.
