Out of Control Thoughts and the Holy Spirit’s Healing

Intrusive thoughts can happen to anyone. But for some, having intrusive, unwanted, and distressing thoughts can become a cycle of obsession that’s seemingly impossible to break. If your daughter struggles with persistent, intrusive, and obsessive thoughts, it may be time to seek professional, clinical help.

Spiritual warfare is very much alive in our world today. In his second letter to the people of Corinth, Paul tells us “The weapons we fight with are not weapons of the world…we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

The Holy Spirit gives us the power to overcome. It gives us the strength to ask for help, to rely on our Christian community, to pray unceasingly to God, and to release fear and live in the assurance of His promises.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5
