If your girl is suddenly pining for some questionable items from your wardrobe of yesteryear, she’s not alone! Claw clips, platform shoes, fannypacks, and tiny handbags—what’s ‘old’ is new again according to Gen Z fashion trends.
Finding her own unique style is part of every teen girl’s formation. While you sort through vintage tees and baggy jeans, consider reading a devotional or watching some popular sermons from the 1990s. Unlike certain music, fashion or hairstyles, which will likely all be on full display, the word of God shared in the readings and videos you find is timeless.
Have some fun exploring and reminiscing on your own formational time with your daughter and remember to share the words of Hebrew 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
