God’s Goodness Isn’t Zero Sum, so Spread His Love Freely!

There’s a term in game theory known as “zero-sum thinking.” This mindset believes that if a situation benefits one person, that must mean cost someone else—in essence, if it’s good for you, it’s bad for me.

Does your girl fall into this trap of zero-sum thinking? Does she consistently play the “fairness game”? The parable of the vineyard workers in Matthew’s gospel makes it clear: there’s plenty of God’s goodness to go around, regardless of who might “win” and who might “lose” in a situation.

Encourage your girl to find out how she can be a blessing to others today, regardless of the small cost at which that good may come to her. God’s goodness isn’t a zero-sum game, so spread His love bountifully!
