Your daughter, no matter her age, is developing relationships. As a toddler, she bonded with other tikes on the playground. Now that she’s in school, she’s learning how to make new friends with every classroom change. The most innate way to equip your daughter in her social development is modeling nurturing relationships in your own life.
Research shows that healthy relationships feature three key ingredients—a sense of belonging, closeness, and reasonable expectations. With all three, relationships are stable and life-giving. Without, relationships can be downright draining.
Jesus sent out his followers in pairs of two to share the Good News. God designed man to rely on woman. We aren’t meant to do life alone! Exemplify healthy relationships and encourage your girl to seek out Godly and soul-enriching relationships of her own.
