Prayer: The Results Isn’t What You Might Expect

Throughout the Bible, we see that God wants an open line of communication with us. Whether it came through the High Priest in the Old Testament, or through direct words in Jesus’ or His Apostles’ lives, prayer makes a Holy God accessible to a flawed us.

Many people of faith know prayer as communication with God, but beyond that…the purpose of prayer might be a little fuzzy.

Why do we pray? Is it to get what we ask for? Or is it to move in alignment with the Lord’s Will? Check in with your daughter to see how she views prayer. Lead her to approach God honestly, and to have a listening heart open to receive His refinement in her prayers. She will come to marvel at God’s majesty as well as His gentleness.
