Is your daughter a type-A, all ducks-in-a-row, tie-a-bow-on-it kind of gal? She’s not alone. It probably comes as no surprise that girls, more so than their male counterparts, struggle with some common effects of the type-A personality type like anxiety, worry, and stress.
But what about disorder in her spiritual life? Faith, after all, doesn’t come in a tidy package. Our trust in God is often strengthened through trial, revealing His works only after the storms of trouble cease.
The solution? Hold her close to the idea that God is faithful to His people. Lead her to embody the words of First Chronicles: “Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!” Slowly, she’ll start to trust in Him, and not feel the constant need for perfect order.
