In an age of filtered photos, social media catfishing, and typical teenage girl drama, you might find your daughter struggles to trust others. Worse yet, you may find that these trust issues spill over into her relationship with God.
We know that trust is established by consistency over time. So how can you, as her parent, foster a healthy sense of trust in the goodness of others? Show up, fulfill your promises, and give credit where it is due.
Then, go a step further, point out those times that God does the same. Remind her that what she prayed for a year ago might be exactly where she is today. Seek out Scripture, like Romans 8:39, to affirm that nothing can separate us from the love of God. He is constant, reliable, and trustworthy!
