Does your girl struggle to see God’s work in the world today? If her eyes are more guided by division and destruction than heaven intersecting earth, give her divine glasses through the wisdom of the old hymns. 

The opening line to an ancient Irish hymn says, “Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart.” If you don’t speak hymn, translated this means “God, help me see like you see, since you’re King of my heart.”  

Pray with your girl so she can hear your leadership and you can hear her honest struggle. Pray these words inviting her to see beyond brokenness and into God’s beautiful work of redemption through Jesus. Yes, even in the here and now!
