“I’m sorry, okay. Geez, what else do you want from me?” Heard this lately from your girl? Whether she says it to you or a sibling, the words and tone hold many layers of brokenness to filter through. How do you gently guide this response into a godly-directed conversation?
Hebrews 11:6 says that those who seek the Lord with an earnest heart will be rewarded by God. The reward? Godliness! The earnest heart is key here. Like her disingenuous apology, your girl might need a shift of heart. Sorry means very little apart from genuine remorse.
Since the Lord sees her heart, pray with your girl to open her heart to the Holy Spirit renewing her mind and recreating her heart in His Image. It can make all the difference!
