Why Modesty Matters in Summer Swimwear Fashion

As summer approaches, your girl is likely aware of “swimsuit season”—a time of year for which we can thank the fashion industry! Many parents roll their eyes at the thought of navigating shopping in stores that do NOT seek to honor God with their inventory. So how do you approach swimsuit season honorably?

First, chat with your girl about WHY choosing modest swimwear matters—not just to those around her, but more importantly, to the God who made her. Include self-respect in that conversation and how that also affects her physical and emotional safety. Then, you’re off to the stores for some shopping fun!

Whatever the choice, work together to decide according to the principles that guide both her identity in Christ and her ability to honor herself and others confidently.
