Why be a Second-Rate Version of Someone Else?

If you’ve ever tasted real vanilla extract or maple syrup, you’ll have a hard time using the fake stuff ever again. Why? The imitation is simply not as good as the real thing! 

Tween and teenage girls are known to want to fit in. In their desperate attempt to assimilate, they can pick up phrases, behaviors, looks, or attitudes of someone else—put simply, they imitate someone. But the problem with imitation is that no matter how good she gets at copying, she’ll never be that other person.  

Why be a second-rate version of someone else when you can be a first-rate you? God created each of us with unique opinions, personalities, and beauty. When your daughter begins to embrace the person God made her to be, she will thrive.
