What Christian Parents Need to Know About Cancel Culture

When we say the word “cancelled” you probably think of something like a TV show or an event, but your daughter likely thinks of someone, as in “she’s been #cancelled.”

In today’s culture, when someone does or says something deemed wrong, they’re #cancelled. The problem with this mentality? To start: it teaches your girl that there’s nothing more important than the opinions of others–that her worth lies in the minds of her peers. Even more concerning? #Cancelled is a final decision, there’s no room for forgiveness or redemption.

Christ came so that all people could leave behind sin and be born anew in Him. 1 Timothy 2:4 confirms this. To God, no one is #cancelled because no one is beyond His mercy and redeeming love.
