Trust in Your Divine Role as Her Parent or Caregiver

Did you know that preborn babies can identify and recognize different voices? In fact, newborns are comforted by the familiar sounds of mom and dad in those first moments after birth. Incredible!

While your daughter used to coo and smile at the sound of your voice, I’m guessing she’s less enthused about listening to you now that she’s older—am I right? I know it can be difficult to get your daughter to listen, especially when she thinks she knows better.

Paul’s letter to the Ephesians puts it plainly: “children, obey your parents in the Lord.” If only that verse could solve our parenting problems! As you raise your Godly girl, don’t get discouraged in the seasons of difficulty. Remember, God gave you the authority when He made you her parent. Trust that He has equipped you to do the job!
