Spirit of Truth or Error? A Godly Girl is Faithful to the Bible

There’s a phrase used by Biblical scholars to describe a pretty common human experience with reading Scripture—the Spirit of Truth and the Spirit of Error.

Put simply, this means we have a tendency to fall prey to accepting false interpretation, teaching, and understanding of our Christian faith. Believers, especially our impressionable girls, must be wary of this Spirit of Error, and instead, seek first the Spirit of Truth.

There is one thing that must direct our hearts and minds, and that is the straight forward set of truths found in Scripture. By turning back to the Word of God as our source of guidance, we eliminate room for false teaching. Providing trustworthy guidance through Scripture is essential in raising our girls to recognize the Spirit of Truth.
