Is Your Daughter Transparent Enough With You?

t’s increasingly uncommon to find young girls who carry around a diary with lock and key in today’s digital world. An assortment of apps and social media platforms have replaced the “old school” diary. Now, girls can store their thoughts, ideas, and photos online protected by personal passwords and privacy settings.

While maintaining levels of privacy is important, especially online, the question becomes are there certain areas of her life that she should have the option to keep from you, her parent?

God wants His girls to be open, honest and transparent with their parents. After all, being open and transparent is one way to show honor to those we love.

Talk with your daughter about ways you can work together to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all-around transparency in your relationship with one another.
