Is Your Daughter Setting Goals for God?

Is your daughter’s self-worth driven by her achievements? Recognizing when we are motivated by our own selfish ego and shifting the focus back to God is a Christian-trait so many adults are still working tirelessly to live out.

Paul’s letter to the Colossians tells us “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

While she’s working toward her next achievement, challenge your daughter to ask herself: “Why did I set this goal? Was it to honor God? How can I glorify Him through this?” Regular internal reflection should encourage her to continuously re-dedicating her accomplishments back to Him.
