Her Validation should come from God NOT Social Media

Did you know that positive feedback on social media stimulates the brain to release dopamine, the same chemical released by certain addictive drugs? It’s no wonder we love to post… we’re stuck in an addictive cycle of validation.

Of course, posting attempts at a new TikTok dance or a photo of her new pet can be exciting and fun—it’s natural that your daughter would want to share in the sense of community that social media brings. But when we place our self-worth in the hands of what people like, we’re participating in destructive behavior.

God created and loves each of us for exactly who we are—our truest identity is one found in Him. And what better space for validation is there than the arms of a loving Heavenly Father?
