Astrology Outsources Your Girl’s Trust in God

“What’s your sign?” The decades-ago conversation-starter has roots in Astrology, the belief that the movement of the stars and planets affect peoples’ daily lives based on when they were born. So, whether receiving their fortune through a website or by consulting an astrology practitioner, these folks make decisions and evaluate their lives with this as the map.

In Deuteronomy 18, God warns His people NOT to seek guidance from any source other than Him directly. Doing so seeks to usurp His authority over the daily and the long-term future. While God did order the stars and the planets, they’re not for us to manipulate meaning in our lives.

Your girl is made in God’s image for His glory—and there’s no express line to His guidance other than a direct relationship with the Lord.

Deuteronomy 18:10b-14
