Today, kids all seem to speak a language that some adults know nothing about: memes. Memes are like a sort of universal symbol, different images have implied meanings and their accompanying text conveys the writer’s emotion. For example, what looks like a picture of Willy Wonka is actually a statement on your girl’s frustration with current affairs.
Memes are a way kids today express thoughts, emotions, and ideas. If memes are a foreign language to you, but native tongue to your daughter, brush up!
Ask your girl to show you some memes she’s made and talk together about what they mean. Together, brainstorm ways she can disciple through memes—Scripture memes and Christ-honoring humor are a great way to spread God’s love and joy with others!
