If your family is one of the millions who have experienced miscarriage, your girl might have questions about the brother or sister she never got to meet. “Was the baby a boy or a girl?” “What name did you have picked out?” “What color were the baby’s eyes?”
Fielding questions while grieving yourself is emotionally painful, so consider the benefit of making this a family conversation. By opening this up to the family, it allows your girl to both receive the support of her parents AND to offer you comfort while you grieve. Romans 12 says that God’s people “weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice.”
Christ-followers have the hope of resurrected glory, so your girl can eagerly await the day she meets her sibling upon settling into her heavenly home.
