Salt and light. Two simple things that make life a whole lot better. Can you imagine brushing your teeth by candlelight or Chick-fil-A waffle fries without salt? No thank you!

Jesus tells us that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Does your girl recognize the value she has in being salt and light? As part of Generation Z, where the percentage of atheists is two times that of the general population, your girl’s faith will inevitably be questioned.

Matthew’s gospel reads: “let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Ask your girl to make a list of the ways she will glorify God this week. In doing so, she’ll see how even the simplest acts can glorify God and she’ll feel more confident in her faith!
