Like After a Forest Fire, Spiritual Regrowth Takes Time

This year has been difficult to navigate. It’s been unmanageable and unpredictable. One could say it’s almost like a forest fire.

Forest fires are an all-too-scary reality in our country. Once teams of professionals are able to tame the fire and extinguish the last ember, the earth’s relief is palpable. The soggy foliage drips, the sun beams in, and the forest can start anew. Did you know that after a forest fire, the soil is its richest? That after a blaze, fields of wildflowers can finally bloom because they are no longer impeded by the shade of tall trees?

Your girl may feel like she is in the midst of a fiery circumstance. How can you help her find the sunshine, the light of Christ, again and start the regrowth process?
