Comparison Fuels Endless Striving, So Help Her Slow the Pace

“Don’t tell me to relax, mom! I’ll relax when I’m in the grave.” Today’s girls experience pressure to succeed far surpassing what generations before reported. Lateral comparisons push the need to excel and accomplish in EVERY area of their lives. This pressure will either burn her out or cause apathy for any forward movement at all.

I’ve heard it said that “a satisfied life is better than a successful life.” While our success is measured by others, our satisfaction happens at the soul-level. For the Godly girl, Psalm 17:15b says she is satisfied just to be face-to-face with the Lord.

Guide your girl to daily time in prayer and taking in God’s Word to regularly grow her soul-satisfaction in the Lord.
