Are You Constantly Quizzing Your Girl?

How often have you found yourself quizzing your girl through childhood? What color is this? What letter does this start with? There is value in testing knowledge, but must everything we learn be a quiz?

Much like the colors of the rainbow or the letters of the alphabet, there are elements of our Christian faith that are simple, understandable facts. But what about the beliefs we hold true that might seem more nebulous to a child?

Rather than introducing these complex concepts through rote memorization in preparation for a quiz, consider teaching your girl about your faith tradition in a more conversational, story-telling way. After all, people best learn and retain information through stories and anecdotes. Why do you think Jesus had so many parables?!
